Overcoming Imposter Syndrome and Building Confidence
Have you ever thought ”What gives me the right to be here in this role?” or “I just got lucky this time”?
If so you may have been experiencing Imposter Syndrome – the feeling you get when you think you are an ‘imposter’ in your role, or other life and work situations. You are not alone. Imposter Syndrome is common and yet is can be debilitating. It leads to a loss of confidence and this can in turn lead to us being less impactful at work. It could also be a sign of growth and an opportunity to learn and change.
In this session Jean Balfour will provide practical tools that would help participants to
· Understand the psychological aspects of imposter syndrome and self-confidence
· See confidence as an area they can invest in, develop and improve
· Know how to challenge their own negativity
· Develop and maintain healthy self-confidence
About the speaker: Jean Balfour
With over 20 years of experience as a coach, she strongly believes it is possible – and even essential – to be happy at work. The key to this is allowing ourselves to be human in the workplace. She knows it sounds easier said than done in our fast-paced and competitive world! But, as she sees it, taking the time to know who we are and forging meaningful relationships has the power to unlock our potential at work and, thus, maximize performance along with well-being.
This belief is at the heart of my company. At Bailey Balfour, I both coach and train coaches with the same passion. Whether you are an individual or an organisation, I am here to help you grow, to help you reach the best version of you. I have a very practical, results-oriented approach, a growth mindset, and a warm yet challenging style. My expertise is here to nurture yours, as you are the best expert of your own work destiny.
She has helped individuals and companies globally and across sectors, cultures, and time zones gain clarity, build a coaching culture fit for their environment, implement new patterns and behaviors, and develop strong and compassionate leaders. All this is resulting in more success and work being better for everyone.
